Freedom Trail with C3

WE went to a field trip together. Guess where is this! Oh, Freedom Trail!
We were so lucky that day. The weather was very nice. And the day was long. It wasn't dark even at 9:00pm.

One of the whales you're likely to spot during a Boston Harbor Cruises Whale Watch is the humpback. These Northern hemisphere humpbacks reach an average length of 50 feet, and a weight of about 37 tons! Sadly, they're also among the most endangered, and it's estimated that only 8 percent of their original population remains.
The humpback got its name because of the way its back arches out of the water when getting ready to take a deep dive. "Megaptera" is its true scientific name, which means "large-winged", in reference to its long flippers.

On May 2. Wednesday, I went to visit BHCC with my classmates and our teacher. Before then field trip, we did some research on line in our coputer class. We learned about the history of BHCC, where are the campuses, how many students are studying at BHCC, and what programs the school offers.

When we got there, our class was divided into three groups. One group headed by Carol went to Admision's Office. Yingjun and Yanfang registered to take the writing test right away. They did a good job. Both of them passed the test for BSL 3!

Hongri's group went to Financial Office and collected information on financial aid and tuition.

Linlin's group went to Students' Center. They talked to the woman in the office and asked about international students activities.

I am now at ESL level 3. I would like to go to BHCC someday as a college student.

This field trip was very important to me.

My Sister and Me

When I was a child, I used to play with my younger sister. We were very close. She followed me wherever I went. I called her my "little tail."
We used to play in our backyard. There was a big tree in the yard. My father built a tree-house for us. In summer we would spend hours in the tree house, listening to the singing of the birds and overlooking the kids from our neighbors playing on the street. One day, my sister wanted to get down to get water, but she fell from the lather. She started crying. I jumped from the tree-house to help my sister. I hurt my ankle so bad that I couldn't stand up from the ground. My sister saw all this, She stopped crying at once and came running to help me. She was worried and kept saying, 'You silly sister, I was just pretending!'
I didn't get angry at her. I was happy that she didn't get really hurt.
That evening, my mother noticed me walking with difficulty. She asked me why. As my sister was about to tell her what had happened. I stopped her. I just told my mother that I fell while walking. I didn't want my mother to scold my sister for her mischievous joke.
This has since become our secret. We love each other very much.
